The cold banks of snow
and sharp crack of fireworks
signal new year’s is here.
The social media recaps
and “Happy New Year’s!” messages
signal new year’s is here.
The gold-red packets
and long WeChat greetings
signal new year’s is here.
But when after the fireworks,
or pictures on Instagram,
will a new me be here?
